Health for Life

Health for Life in primary schools is a Schools and Community programme funded by Mondelez International Foundation in partnership with Services for Education.

The programme supports schools to develop healthy active lifestyles and embeds the work in school culture in a sustainable way. There are four inter-related strands including healthy eating and cooking, growing food, physical activity and community involvement.

As a school we have developed an action plan in order to meet the aims of the programme which includes:

- Further opportunities for cooking in school

- Growing our own vegetables and herbs

- Skip2Bfit programme that supports physical health, perseverance and resilience

- Playground equipment and storage

- Sharing healthy recipes weekly

- Play leader training

- Bikeability

- Balanceability

- Wake Up Shake Up mornings

- Inspire workshops based on healthy living
